The images of God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Ghost are personified in the icon "New Testament Trinity" in contrast to the icon by Andrei Rublev "Old Testament Trinity". It is a different iconographic tradition which reflects a different idea of the triune God. The figures are disposed in a frontal way. They look directly at the spectator and it produces an impression of direct communication with them. The painter has tried to create he triune view of the holy one reflecting subjectively the central idea of Christianity. Thus, the painter had to personify the image of the Holy Ghost which comes from his own aureole. He is a dove risen over the power, the symbol of the planet.
